
Yelp’s Top 100 Food Trucks of 2025: See Which Texans Made the Cut
Food trucks are as common to the Texas landscape as a field of bluebonnets or a pasture of cattle. The dishes they serve have evolved through the years from 'fair-type' offerings to delectable delights that get featured on national food channels and shows.
Food trucks in the United States are a significant player in the country's dining economy. It's estimated to be a $2 billion industry.
National Food Truck Day is June 27. To celebrate this, Yelp has released the Top 100 Food Trucks of 2025. According to Yelp,
"they identified businesses in the food truck category, then ranked those spots using a number of factors."
I never saw anything defining what those factors may be.

How Did Texas Do in The Yelp Rankings?
Texas placed 15 food trucks in the top 100 rankings, with 9 of them located in Austin. BBQ, hot dogs, Mexican food, Asian food, and a fusion of all the above were well-represented.

Austin has become the 'food truck capital' of Texas. It's estimated to have over 2,000 mobile food vendors scattered from downtown to the nearby Hill Country.

Food trucks based in Hawaii, California, Texas, Oregon, and Florida made up over 80% of the top 100 list. That may seem a bit skewed, but it's all about Yelp reviews and 'other factors'.
