
Video Shows Texas Whataburger Manager Beating Assault Subject With Trash Can
A Texas Whataburger manager was put into a position where he had to defend his employees and himself this week.
Whataburger Manager Fights Back
The manager of the Whataburger in Paris, Texas was forced to subdue a customer after the alleged suspect began assaulting the workers inside the restaurant. According to WFAA, Police in Paris responding to the Whataburger in the 2400 block of N. Main Street.
According to the report, the suspect had been verbally abusive to the staff and was asked to leave by the manager. The manager asked the suspect to leave, and he did but not before threatening to a return and harm the manager. You can see the video, shot by a customer below.
WFAA reports that on February 22, the suspect returned to the Whataburger location and punched the manager several times. The manager fought back, eventually grabbing a trash can and subduing him.
Suspect Found Bleeding From the Head
Police identified 41-year-old Anthony William Newhuis of Spring, Texas as the suspect. Police found him bleeding from the head in store's parking lot. Newhuis has been arrested and charged with assault resulting in bodily injury and public intoxication.

According to WFAA, after being taken to jail, Newhuis intentionally flooded the cells with water. That is also a crime.
