Jason Newsted Holds Seminar In Northern California [VIDEO]

Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted held a seminar in California that included lectures and lessons on his bass technique and ways of making music.

The seminar was held at the Red House in Walnut Creek, California, fittingly Newsted's hometown. Raja Singh, the owner of Red House, thought it would be a good experience for fans of Newsted and his work, and that people could get a chance to see a different side of Newsted, plus learn a few things in the process.

Newsted is involved in the movement Guitars Not Guns, a movement that helps children in foster care learn guitar, an outlet to try to keep them from causing trouble.
