Jessie Altman, a junior defensive line prospect from Etowah, Alabama, was arrested Wednesday (Jan. 10), along with four others, on capital murder charges.

SI.com reports that Altman is being charged with the murder of 18-year-old Aaron Huff. The other four arrested are: 17-year-old Tyler Abbot; 16-year-old Kalab Whitworth; 17-year-old Lonterry Harrison; and 18-year-old Broderick Pearson. Huff was shot and killed Jan. 4, 2018, though police haven't released which suspect(s) committed the crime.

Altman, who is 17, is listed at 6'1", 285 pounds. Rivals rated him as a three-star prospect and the 22nd ranked player among the Class of 2019 players from Alabama, and the 40th ranked defensive tackle in the country.

While the list of schools recruiting him included some high-profile names including West Virginia, Mississippi State, Alabama and Florida State, Altman was also on the radar of David Gibbs and the Texas Tech defensive coaching staff according to his profile on rivals.com.

Altman's offers from schools, if there were any, have likely been pulled in the wake of the charges brought against him this past week.
