Jimmie Johnson Assumes Points Lead After Texas Dominance

Jimmie Johnson and Co. lead over two-thirds of Sunday's race en route to a victory to take the Chase lead over Matt Kenseth and Kevin Harvick.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. posted a strong runner-up finish to move up to fifth in the standings. Joey Logano finished third, with Matt Kenseth overcoming adversity to find a fourth place finish. Kasey Kahne rounded out the top five.

Jeff Gordon and Carl Edwards had rough days finishing way back in the pack after troubles that lead to accidents for both teams. Multiple other Chase drivers placed decent finishes to boot.

With Harvick taking over the third position in the Chase, Matt Kenseth moving back to second, and JJ taking the lead, we move to Phoenix where anything can still happen.
