KISS recently postponed their Salt Lake City tour date, with Gene Simmons revealing to fans that he had to fly to Los Angeles for a medical procedure. According to TMZ, that procedure happened early this morning (Oct. 1) with the rocker being admitted to Cedars-Sinai hospital to have a procedure to help rid himself of kidney stones.

According to the report, the musician had a stent inserted in his urethra to help him pass his stones. The procedure was non-invasive and reportedly took an hour to complete. The stent is expected to be removed in a week, with any remaining stones expected to be removed as well.

Simmons will have some time for recovery before returning to the stage. The KISS "End of the Road" trek is currently on a break until resuming on Nov. 16 in Perth, Australia. The band will a handful of dates in Australia and New Zealand through Dec. 3, then finish the year with shows in Japan in December.

The next KISS North American concert happens March 4 in Los Angeles with a March 6 date to follow in Oakland. A Salt Lake City shows has not yet been announced.

We send our best to Gene on a speedy recovery.
