Rock And Roll Hall Of Famers Lou Reed and Metallica have set the release date for their new collaboration for November 1st. "LULU" will consist of ten tracks written by Lou Reed that were inspired by German expressionist Frank Wedekind's "Earth Spirit" and "Pandora's Box." According to Metallica's Kirk Hammett, "it's definitely not a Metallica album or a Lou Reed album, it's a new animal, a hybrid."

I was talking to my son, Gunner, who is a Metallica fanatic, and I asked him what he expected from the new album...St. Anger 2?! His response was that one would have to listen to the album with an open mind, one couldn't expect anything of the album before listening to it because it's a "hybrid." Look for the new album "LULU" when it hits shelves November 1st in North America.
