Lubbock’s The Wing Shack Grand Opening Features Spicy Food Challenge

Lubbock's highly anticipated The Wing Shack (5412 Slide Suite 100) recently "soft" opened- and folks are already giving their fresh, made-to-order wings rave reviews, like this one:

Now that's a glowing review! Sounds like The Wing Shack deserves a Grand Opening Celebration, which is exactly what's happening Saturday, August 5th.

To celebrate the Grand Opening, The Wing Shack will have specials all day long, and will have appearances from Lubbock's Favorite Foodie, Kelsee Pitman of Lonestar 99.5, KFYO's Chad Hasty, and little ol' me from FMX. Between the three of us, we will have tons of giveaways, including a shot at Tacos and Tequila 2 tickets.

The main event is The Hotter Than Hell Challenge- with a dozen nuclear-hot wings. The first person to finish the challenge completely wins a hefty prize. If you can handle the heat, it'll be a really fun competition. I cannot handle the heat at all, so I'll be one of the contest judges instead. I'm a boneless wing baby person.

The Wing Shack offers bone-in and boneless wings with over a dozen sauces or rubs to choose from. Additionally, The Wing Shack offers chicken tenders, fries, okra and onion rings, and desserts like my favorite- banana pudding.
