Rock In Peace Wayne Static [VIDEO/NSFW]

Last night my buddy Erik Fincher who was Wayne Static's guitar tech for 10 years gave me a pretty awesome shirt paying tribute to our fallen friend Wayne Static.

As you know we lost Wayne Static in early November and it took all of us by surprise. Wayne Static and Static X had played Lubbock on several occasions and Wayne always looked forward to throwing down in Lubbock.

When I first started in radio the very first time I was stopped in my tracks was by Wayne Static. I had been such a huge fan of Static X and to see and meet Wayne was such a crazy feeling.

Wayne and I became pretty good friends over the years and would go bowling when he was in town. It was a sad day to hear that he had passed on to the other side but to know that his "Evil Disco" will always be a solid soundtrack of my life is pretty cool.
