Sevendust Announce New Album ‘Kill the Flaw’ + Unleash ‘Thank You’ Single
Sevendust are ready to rock again. After spending most of 2014 promoting their acoustic-based Time Travelers & Bonfires disc, the band has plugged back in for a heavy new disc titled Kill the Flaw.
The band revealed that the disc, their 11th studio album, will drop on Oct. 2 via their 7Bros. Records with assistance from ADA and Warner Bros. Distribution. The band self-produced the album at Architekt Music in Butler, N.J. And, to get fans in the right mindset, they've just unveiled the aggressive new song "Thank You." Check it out in the player above.
“We took some time off from the heavy side of Sevendust and when it came time to record some new music; Clint, John, Vinnie, Morgan and I put everything we had in to what became Kill The Flaw,” states vocalist Lajon Witherspoon. “We love this new music and we can’t wait to share it with our amazing Sevendust family! God bless y’all!!!”
On top of "Thank You," a press release singles out such new songs as "Cease and Desist" and "Not Today" as examples of the band's growth in songwriting, so be on the lookout for those tracks as well. If you like what you hear out of "Thank You," go ahead and pre-order the Kill the Flaw album. You can do so via iTunes and receive an instant download of "Thank You." You can order physical versions of the CD in a variety of bundle options via the band's website.
In other Sevendust news, the band is chomping at the bit to play for audiences again and they've booked a number of fall dates to promote the upcoming release. The band opens their touring on Sept. 18 in Scranton, Pa. sharing a stage with Breaking Benjamin. A majority of their remaining September and October shows find them paired up with Godsmack.
