Ted Nugent To Start Work On New Studio Record

It's been six years since we last heard anything from the Great Gonzo, but the long wait could soon be over.

Ted had this to say about getting back in the studio for the first time since '07's "Love Grenade," Nugent laid it out for Classic Rock Revisited, "God knows we are eating our hearts out and busting our ass to get back into the studio to capture the new songs I am creating these days," Nugent says. "I am confident there will be a new killer record [as soon as possible]."

The plan is to have vocalist Derek St. Holmes back at helm when they enter the studio, "Derek and the boys and I are humping madly to jam up a storm, working on my new tunes," Nugent says. "I am certain real hard rock soul music lovers will love them."

Ted will join Styx and REO Speedwagon for the Midwest Rock 'N Roll Express 2013 tour, which will make a stop in Grand Prairie on May 7, at the Verizon Theatre.
