Your chance to be a hero this week begins today when the 10th Annual "Rock is in my Blood" kicks off at 48th/University.

The 2013 "Rock is in My Blood" blood drive gets underway at 12 p.m. today and runs through the 19th of October from United Blood Services at 48th/University. Everyone who takes a small part out of the day to be a hero receive the very "limited" edition "Rock is in my Blood" T-shirt.

Everyday we give-away two "Nightmare on 19th" VIP passes to check out four spooky haunted houses including Lubbock's first ever 3-D haunt at the Lonestar Events Center.

On Saturday, one lucky donor will take home four tickets to the FMX Freak-fest, four voodoo lounge passes for the show and four passes to "Nightmare on 19th." The grand prize winner also takes home the "Dimebag Darrell" metal sculpture courtesy of local artist Lynn Day, and the free tattoo from Tony at Flamingo Ink.
