Put me in the camp of gender reveal parties are absolutely useless. I'm sure there are plenty of people who will argue that, but they won't change my mind. What makes gender reveal parties even worse are the terrible consequences they spawn like wildfires and multiple deaths.

Seriously, if you have to have a gender reveal, buy some freaking balloons or something.

Now, I'm not a stone heart, every once in a while a gender reveal comes along that is both touching and hilarious. Like this one featuring a loving couple that isn't quite on the same page.

The Texas Rangers fan father doesn't have the smoothest swing, but nobody is confusing his baby mama for Nolan Ryan either.

The pitch that flies ten feet about dad's head is my favorite followed closely by the self pitch whiff to close the video. I've never seen a perfect game in person, but this is what it would feel like I think.

I don't know that this family ever found out the gender of their baby, but if this is a sign of things to come then they need to prepare accordingly. Also, shoutout to grandma or aunt in the background who still had enough faith to flinch on every swing like this was the one. This pitch is the one that this happy couple will find out their child's gender based on the societal norm of pink or blue dust.

At least the guy was taking hacks though, this guy below took all the way and the pink ball exploded at his feet.

This cubs couple must have seen these epic fails and just asked a professional to take the swing.
