Texas Tech’s TJ Vasher Is Up for a Best Play ESPY

If you can stretch your mind all the way back to week one of the 2018 college football season, you might remember TJ Vasher making this catch on the first Red Raider drive of the season:

Now, a lot has changed in Lubbock since that catch, but in that moment I labeled it the catch of the year. I don't think I saw too many catches better than that in high school, college or NFL play last season.

For his efforts, Vasher has been nominated for an ESPY for Best Play, which will be decided in a bracket-style voting process.

Vasher is labeled as the mysterious "Texas Tech WR" on the list, but you can see him here as the 9-seed. By the way, put some respect on his name, ESPN.
