33 Hondas and Chevys filled the field at the legendary and illustrious Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sunday with a myriad of story lines and lead changes to boot.

From Alex Zanardi sending good vibes via waving his Paralympic Gold medal over Kanaan's car to the good luck charm exchanged between Kanaan and a young cancer patient from Indiana through overnight shipping, there was all kinds of luck and juju.

One of the other impressive notes to point out was the performance by rookie for IRL Indy Car, AJ Allmendinger, as he ran very strong throughout the race, even leading just past halfway before having to pit due to his seat belt coming undone.

Marco Andretti finished fourth and Helio Castroneves finished sixth in his #3 Chevy.

There's a reason this race is deemed the "Greatest Spectacle in Racing" and today proved just that.
