Travis Kelce is one of the best tight ends in the NFL and one of the weapons that former Red Raider Patrick Mahomes will have at his disposal in 2018 when he becomes the starter for the Kansas City Chiefs. But Kelce didn't wait for the next NFL season to start to let Patrick Mahomes take the reigns of the Chiefs.

When Kelce was playing Alvin Kamara in Madden Football during an EA SPORTS Super Bowl party, he quickly benched Alex Smith to let Mahomes get the start.

I think pretty much everyone who played with the Chiefs in Madden '18 this year pulled the same move, so it's nothing special. But the switch is newsworthy since the switch happened in real-life this week as Alex Smith was traded to the Washington Redskins.

Kelce didn't win the game, but I'm sure he enjoyed throwing himself 75 yard bombs with Mahomes' cannon arm.
