Van Halen has signed with Interscope records leaving Columbia Records out in the cold. The new Van Halen record, due possibly in February of 2012, will be released on Interscope records after a last minute change of heart from the band about signing a deal with Columbia Records. It seems that David Lee Roth and his leagal team wanted to sign with a West Coast record label rather than the New York based Columbia.

The deal, done earlier this week, will make this the first time Van Halen has recorded and released a disc that's not on Warner Bros. Records, who signed the band in 1977. The new Van Halen will be the first with Roth back on vocals since the band released 1984.
