Teacher's Appreciation Week In Texas
Teacher Appreciation Week is Monday, May 5th, through Friday, the 9th. According to Teachers of Tomorrow, Eleanor Roosevelt lobbied for its creation way back in the 50s (although it originally began as a single day).

In the 1980s, the National Teachers Association lobbied to extend the recognition to an entire week.

Whataburger Continues to Recognize Teachers In Texas
This will be the fourth year in a row that Whataburger offers up an awesome freebie for our teachers. This year, "teachers can swing by from 5 to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday for a free breakfast entrée, " according to a press release from Whataburger.
How will teachers decide between a taquito, a BOB (breakfast on a bun) or a honey chicken biscuit? They'll make an educated guess.

What Else Is Whataburger Doing To Support Education?
In addition to this delicious freebie, Whataburger is awarding $1,000 classroom grants to 75 educators in celebration of 75 years of Whataburger. That's a $75,000 investment in education!
Whataburger's signature community initiative is Whataburger Feeding Student Success, which supports education and addresses food insecurity.
