Rap music has always been notorious for sampling music, but you have to stop and take a second look when they are sampling Dimmu Borgir.

For those of you unfamiliar with the name, Dimmu Borgir is a Norweigen black metal band and one of my personal favorites.  So to hear that German rapper "Bushido" is in trouble for using their music comes as a surprise.  While sampling in rap music is common practice, to hear sampling from a band like Dimmu Borgir is mind boggling because of their distinctive sound.

Dimmu Borgir is threatening to sue over the use of their music and it begs the question, where do you draw the line?  Me personally, I think if it's close enough to get the courts involved then you might wanna get the bands permission.

Check out the video of the song in question and see if you can find the sample of the Dimmu Borgir track "Dimmu Borgir" and let me know your thoughts on sampling.
