Texas Yogurt Recall: What Consumers Need To Know

Yogurt is a popular snack choice across age groups, as it's a solid balance between low calories and high protein and probiotics. However, the health benefits are nullified if the product makes you choke.

What Yogurt Brand Is Being Recalled In Texas?

According to the FDA/ PRNewswire, the YoCrunch brand yogurt is being voluntarily recalled due to a potential choking hazard.

The hazard was discovered after customer complaints about plastic pieces found inside the yogurt's dome topper, which contains candies or cookies to sprinkle into the yogurt. All flavors are being recalled, including granola, M&M's, Snickers, Twix, cookie dough and Oreos.

The plastic pieces are transparent, may have sharp edges, and could present a risk to consumers because some pieces are between 7 and 25 mm in length.

The recall encompasses a wide range of lot codes and expiration dates.

If you have any version of this product on your fridge, you should check it against these codes (listed below). Many of the expiration dates are July, August, and even September, so they could still be in your fridge.

These products were sold nationwide at many retailers, including in Texas.
