We're so close, everyone. It's been a long journey, but we're nearly at the end.

You would think with Bart Reagor being found guilty of making a false statement to a bank in October 2021 that all we would have left is the sentencing date, right? Well, apparently a judge has some concerns on whether or not he should be allowed to self-surrender.

KAMC News reports that on Monday, March 7th, a federal judge questioned whether or not Reagor should be locked up immediately after being sentenced. Apparently, Reagor's probation officer says that while he doesn't appear to be a risk of danger, his "overseas assets coupled with continued unascertained monthly cash flow could be considered risk factors for flight."

Normally, defendants can be free weeks after their sentencing date, but they have to self-surrender to begin their prison term. This is what Piper had to do in the first episode of Orange Is the New Black. (Is that a dated reference at this point?)

Regardless, it looks like some people are worried that Reagor won't self-surrender after being sentenced and will just run away. Whether or not Reagor actually would flee, it was a big enough concern to warrant statements from the defense and prosecution on if they thought he should be in custody or left to voluntarily surrender.

The former co-owner of the Reagor-Dykes Auto Group has fought hard even after the verdict was handed down, but after the company was accused of fraud in 2018, went bankrupt, and multiple past employees pleaded guilty to their role in the fraud scheme, it seems like it's finally time for Reagor to bite the bullet.

The question is, will he?
