Deluxe Box Set Of ‘The Decline Of Western Civilization’ Will Be Released In June

Filmmaker Penelope Spheeris' trilogy of The Decline of Western Civilization will finally be released in a four-box set on June 30th.

Long before Spheeris brought us "Wayne's World" and "Black Sheep" she created the original Decline of Western Civilization which chronicled the punk scene of Los Angeles in 1979.

Decline of Western Civilization Part II:The Metal Years was released in 1988 and featured a hilarious and gripping look at the Los Angeles metal scene with memorable footage of Poison, Ozzy, and Faster Pussycat.

In 1998, Spheeris offered up Decline of Western Civilizattion Part III, delving into the dreadful lives of gutter punks in Los Angeles.

The box set has been restored in high-definition and will feature commentary from Dave Grohl.
