Let’s Go Fishing On August 2nd

There's a line from the Blackfoot tune "Rattlesnake Rock 'N Roller" that goes: "Well I'd rather be a fishin' or at least just a wishin' I was." How true. Some of my fondest memories as a kid are fishing the Attoyac River in East Texas or pier fishing down on the coast with my family.

Kids and fishing... they just go together.

Saturday, August 2 the City of Lubbock Parks & Recreation along with Latino Lubbock will host the 6th annual Vamos a pescar...let's go fishing.

The event offers kids up to 17 years old (must be accompanied by an adult) free fishing which includes license free fishing during designated times.

Wettin' a hook...what a great way for families to spend a Saturday here in the Hub City.
