Long Awaited New Lubbock Restaurant Posts Opening Update

Way back in March of 2023, we reported that a new type of Japanese grill was coming to Lubbock at 66th & Milwaukee. The sign has hung there for nearly a year. Was the project abandoned? Are we left with tantalized tastebuds forever?

Luckily for Lubbock, the answer is No!

F & F Japanese Grill is happening and it's happening soon, according to the manager Andy Nguyen, who posted an update in the popular Facebook group LBK Foodies. He explained the delay was caused by "a really bad GC" which I'm pretty sure he means they faced some construction issues.

However, the obstacles have been overcome and F &F is happening. It's happening so soon, that they are already looking to hire staff. If you are interested in working for F & F Japanese Grill, you can contact them at fnf.lubbock@gmail.com or call 714.592.5192. It also appears you can apply online.

So what is F & F Japanese Grill going to be like? Luckily we have a ton of clues because there are several other Texas locations.

The menu looks right up my alley, with big portions of protein and veggies, served with your choice of fried, steamed or brown rice, or noodles. The proteins are also available as salads with ginger dressing. Yum!

We've seen the sign, and we've seen the potential, now we can't wait to see our very own F & F Japanese Grill open!
