The Panhandle South Plains Fair rolled into town about a week ago under sunny summer like skies.

And true to Lubbock weather the cooler fall like temperatures hit this week, and along with those cooler temps came the rain.

Rain that does not seem to be moving out any time soon.

While most of the rides at the fair don’t operate if it’s raining, everyone of the exhibits, games, and food booths are still open and eager to see some foot traffic.

So grab your rain coat, and umbrella, throw on your rain boots and get out there and support the vendors who use this time of year as their major fund raising effort.

The good news is that the weather might be clearing up this weekend so all you thrill seekers can maybe still catch a ride or two on your favorite fair ride.
