I read an article about Lubbock's Moonlight Musical beginning the new season $80,000 in debt. The problem is/was simple; they only averaged about 80 people a night to see the Buddy Holly musical in the park. What they needed to pay the bills would have been over 300 a night, but that's not really the point of my blog...

A bunch of artists you don't care about are about to salute Buddy Holly in honor of his 75th birthday. Find out more after the jump.

On second thought, maybe the Buddy Holly Statue relocation is good. He's now facing the highway as if he can't wait to get out of here, and his back is towards Lubbock so everyone can kiss his ass when he leaves. Check out a couple of pics from our prank.

The Buddy Holly statue will be dedicated today at 4 pm, and we have a little surprise for them. As a form of protest, we decided that we would forever make ourselves a part of rock and roll history.

Our sister station KFYO is reporting that the "Buddy In A Box" will be re-revealed next month in a special ribbon cutting ceremony. Read more after the jump.
