Some insane footage of a haboob in Midland, Texas earlier this month is making waves online. A video taken from the cockpit of an airplane was posted to TikTok by user @K_yadon and has currently been viewed over 700,000 times.

If you aren't familiar with the term 'haboob,' it's defined by Wikipedia as "a type of intense dust storm carried on an atmospheric gravity current, also known as a weather front. Haboobs occur regularly in dry land area regions throughout the world."

It's also really fun to say because it has the word 'boob' in it. Anyway, here's the cool video:

I don't know about you guys, but I would have been a teensy bit nervous flying right next to that. They are certainly ominous-looking from way up there in an airplane. I'm just glad I wasn't in Midland for this one. Lord knows Lubbock has seen their fair share of haboobs, wild dust storms and insane weather.
