Alright everyone, maybe I am crazy after all. I figured that a young, hungry Red Raider football team would simply come out and fire on all cylinders from day one, poised to shock the world and make a postseason run. After one of the shakiest starts I've seen by a football team in a while, Texas Tech finally went down hard yesterday against Arkansas.

So, yes, I'll say it: I was wrong. For this. But can you blame me? You'd figure that after a full offseason under a new regime of loved coach Kliff Kingsbury & Co. the team would be polished and ready to strike any and all.

This team isn't hungry, this team isn't inspired, they're flat and just not eager to reign over the opponent. The coaching is certainly sub-par, as the team simply hasn't looked ready each of three games we've seen them.

There is a bright side to all of this, however.

This team has a long way to go, yes, but after an extended break you may see a change or two as the team travels to Stillwater to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Thursday, September 25th. Sure, that's a rough matchup, but there may not be a better time to hit the reset button on what we've seen and restart this entire machine.

We'll certainly see what happens, ladies and gents...
