This could be the most senseless crime you find on the internet today.

A 66-year-old Dallas man was recently killed by a 19-year-old woman in front of an Oak Cliff gas station when he met up with her to sell her a cellphone he'd previously listed on Facebook Marketplace.

According to police, the body of Ahmad Alkhalaf was found lying on the ground next to his pickup on November 8th, 2024 at around 3 pm. He was rushed to the hospital where he died later from his injuries.

Alkhalaf was using Facebook Marketplace to sell an iPhone 15 when he connected with the potential buyer, 19-year-old Amaya Medrano. Surveillance footage shows the pair having a short chat before she turns around, shoots him, and runs away.

Police found the same cellphone listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace from the account Alkhalaf had connected with and were able to identify her based on her face and neck tattoos.

What's more? Medrano was already serving a 5-year probation sentence for stabbing someone back in 2023. She has been charged with capital murder and is now being held in the Dallas County Jail with a bond set at $1 million.

Here's to hoping she gets the book thrown at her. She clearly did NOT deserve a second chance after her last offense. It's a shame she was allowed back on the streets to do something as heinous as killing a man over a cell phone.
