PORT ARTHUR, Texas - Three workers were killed and two others were injured in a scaffolding collapse around 2 am Tuesday, prompting the massive Port Arthur LNG industrial project to pause construction.

What we know right now:

Employees involved in the collapse were from Betchel Global Corporation, a construction contractor.

Betchel confirmed a "tank jump form system incident occurred at elevation on April 29," which resulted in injuries and fatalities.

Employees killed have been identified as a 42-year-old father of four from Pearland, TX, named Felix Lopez, a 41-year-old Houston man named Dontrell Magee, and a third is a 25-year-old man, whose identity has yet to be confirmed.

Lopez and the unnamed 25-year-old died at the scene. Magee was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

It was also reported that not all employees involved in the accident fell to the ground. Two were able to stay on top but sustained injuries. They have been treated and released from the the hospital.

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, the facility, and OSHA are investigating the collapse, which is believed to have been caused by a failure in the scaffolding system. It is not known whether the employees were wearing harnesses during the collapse.

Work has been suspended at the site while further investigations take place.
