5 Things About Lubbock That Blow Harder Than The West Texas Wind
It's wild out there today, guys! Holy moly! The wind is blowing like crazy!
81 mph winds were recorded near the Preston Smith Internation Airport in Lubbock at 7:15 this morning, just 9 mph shy of the record high, recorded way back on May 9th, 1952. I'm wondering if we will beat that record today.
I'm also wondering if my apartment will still be there when I get home from work. Fingers crossed.
For the most part, I think The Hub City is a great place to live. It's affordable, friendly, and has both big-city and small-town vibes. The art and music scenes are great, we have excellent restaurants, and we're the home of Texas Tech University, which is likely our biggest selling point.
That being said, most of us still have a few complaints. No city is perfect, and the dirty-ass wind isn't the only thing that blows like the dicken about Lubbock.
