Renee Raven’s 6 Favorite Fall Shots to Order at Adolph’s Grill & Bar
It's officially fall, so it's time to put away your summer shandys and get back to drinking our more hearty favorites. I love a dry cider or fruity IPA as much as anyone, but a delicious fall drink feels as good as the first time you get to wear your favorite sweater.
Here are some of my favorite fall drinks to enjoy at Adolph's Grill & Bar, the coziest haunt in all of Lubbock.
Irish Car Bomb
I refer to this as the "cake slice" of drinks because it instantly fills you up and tastes amazing. It's a fun shot to order in rounds for your table as we all race to get to the bottom of our glasses. Just don't sip it...it'll curdle and lose all of its chocolate cake charm.
Snakebite
If you'd rather sip your Guinness, you can always go with a beer cocktail. My favorite is a Snakebite: A cider topped with that velvety Irish stout.
Blacktooth
Your favorite warming whiskey (I like Maker's Mark) topped with just a splash of coke to make the shot go down super-smooth.
Slippery Nipple
Not only is this a ridiculously fun shot to say out loud, but this layered tastes like the upcoming holidays: Butterscotch and Bailey's. Yum!
Crown Royal, Neat
Forget the ice. Crown is sweet enough to go down at room temperature and will keep you warm as the nights get colder. Adolph's keeps a variety of flavors, and the apple is especially perfect for fall.
German Chocolate Cake Shots
Beware the Jager in this one. So sweet, so tasty, but oh-so-boozy
