79-Year-Old Lubbock Woman Murdered, Suspect In Custody

Forty-nine-year-old Leticia Smith was taken into custody and is facing charges of capital murder and resisting arrest after Lubbock Police responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 3300 block of E. 16th Street just before 5 a.m. on Sunday, March 8th.

Lubbock Metropolitan Special Crimes Unit are investigating the murder of 79-year-old Wanda Porter after Lubbock Police found the victim unresponsive and was pronounced deceased on scene.

This case remains under investigation.
