A Lubbock Store That’s So Messy You’ll Wonder If You Should Stop to Help
I grew up going to a popular dollar store in Lubbock every day after dance class and I don't remember it being as messy and unorganized as it seems to have become in recent years. What's going on, guys? Are you okay?
There always seems to be one or two overworked and flustered employees taking care of a store that's completely overrun with products crammed into the wrong places or scattered across the floor. Aisles are often completely cluttered with things that haven't yet been put away. Sometimes it looks a bit dangerous to maneuver for the older people I see trying to push their carts through the store.
It just seems like complete chaos, and I can't imagine what it's like working there.
What's Going On Inside This Dollar Store in Lubbock?
It doesn't stop me from going. I love dollar stores, and there's never a lack of customers in the parking lot, but I just can't help but get the feeling that I need to stop and help them restock their shelves. Stepping over pallets of stuff and guessing the price for items stacked in the wrong place kind of drives me nuts.
I wish there was something that could be done. I can't imagine having to work in that environment. It seems incredibly stressful. I imagine the second things get put away, new orders have already rolled in. They clearly need help.
Is it the lack of employees? Over-ordering? Why is it so chaotic in what seems like many dollar stores these days?
If you have worked at one of these types of stores and have some insight, I'd love to hear from you.
