Tip-off came early for all three Texas teams on Tuesday night, as the Mavericks and Spurs played in San Antonio and the Houston Rockets did battle in Los Angeles with the Lakers.

It's absolutely insane to realize that we're already getting back to the hardwood, but it's also a sign of great excitement to come.

It was a fantastic showdown between the Mavs and Spurs, the defending champions edged Dallas 101 to 100. Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard didn't play in the game due to an eye problem.

Houston took down the Los Angeles Lakers in the late game by a score of 108-90. It could be another long year for the once proud Lakers.

These two matchups weren't the only on Tuesday evening as the New Orleans Pelicans took down the Orlando Magic in Louisiana. The Pelicans took care of business, beating the Magic 101-84.

Rejoice, the NBA is back!
