A video of the mishap has gone viral on Facebook.

Delbert Latham and his son were enjoying an evening at Wonderland Park, Amarillo's amusement park. The majority of the rides at Wonderland are kid-friendly, including the Mousetrap, a small roller coaster.

Latham and his son were on the Mousetrap when something truly terrifying happened.

They were going down the first drop when the little boy's seat belt came undone. He slid out of his seat and onto the floorboard of the car. Luckily, Latham stayed calm and was able to pull his son back into the seat and hold him for the rest of the ride.

Latham managed to catch the whole thing on video, which has since been shared over 3,000 times and gotten over 155,000 views.

Wonderland released a statement: "This particular ride was originally built without seat belts, but Wonderland later added belts as an extra safety measure."

According to their marketing agency, Wonderland has made the needed repairs to the ride and is always focused on their customers' safety.
