The potential recalls just keep piling up, and this recall involves the 2012 Jeep Liberty.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has started an investigation into the Liberty and the fact that the airbags might not be going off in the event of a crash.

From our BFF’s at The Consumerist:

“The issue involves the Occupant Restraint Controller module that detects crashes and controls deployment of the air bag system components. If this system fails to operate correctly, the airbag could fail to deploy, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.”

This is just the beginning for this issue and the NHTSA is urging drivers who have had problems with this system to file a complaint. (You can click here if you need to do that.)
