Ex-Hinder Singer Austin Winkler Is in Lubbock Sunday & He Called Me to Shoot the Chit [Interview]

With a number 1 hit single, 2006's "Lips Of An Angel," under his belt, Austin John Winkler has toured the world.

On Sunday (August 14), the singer returns to Lubbock for the first time since leaving Hinder. And he took the time to call me and hang out for a bit.

We have a few connections other than partying on their bus a few times (which I know he doesn't remember). The new singer for Hinder is my good friend Marshall Dutton.

Austin and I talked about the old band, the new singer and his career as a solo artist.
