You're supposed to have a relaxing day with your friends. Burgers. Chips. A cooler full of drinks. Then, out of nowhere, it turns into some kind of competition...

The Grill

It starts with the grill. Whoever is cooking is suddenly an expert chef, qualified to answer all of your culinary questions. They defend every flip like they're auditioning for Gordon Ramsey. Don't even think about questioning their timing. Just let it go.

The Sides

Of course, there are side dishes too. Everyone is convinced their family makes potato salad the RIGHT way. This is a debate that will never end. Your best option is to try everyone's dish, and say you loved it, even the weird fishy-smelling one in the corner...

The Seating

Then there's the lawn chairs. Not everyone can afford the fancy ones. Some of us are still holding onto chairs from the 90s. There's always that one friend with a reclining throne, complete with a cooler pocket, cup holders, and maybe even a little blanket for when it "gets chilly" (drops to 78 degrees).

The Games

Nothing like a game of cornhole to get you really riled up. You didn't think your wife was competitive until now. Turns out, she still has a decent arm from her softball days, and she's not letting y'all go home without bragging rights.
