The Red Raiders put forth a valiant effort on the road in Waco Friday night, falling to the #14 Baylor Bears by a final of 77-74.

Devaugntah Williams had just an awesome night, going 8 for 9 from the land of three, as the Red Raiders shot 10-19 from behind the arc. Tech also shot above 50% from the field, except the team missed 11 of 19 free throws.

To come that close against a team that is that good is a definite good sign the team is going in the right direction. Almost all of the players for the team are returning next season and that only points to improvement, in most cases.

We're not quite finished yet, however. Tech still plays in the Big 12 tournament, starting in the first round on Wednesday.
