Benefit Ride for Family of Infant With Cancer Scheduled for March 20th
Jayden King Martinez is an 8-month-old boy who has been diagnosed with cancer, and a benefit ride to support his family is happening Saturday, March 20th.
In January of 2021, Jayden began his chemo treatment. He was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, which is a type of cancer of the blood and bone marrow. MayoClinic.org says that the disease progresses rapidly and creates immature blood cells in stead of mature ones. It is the most common type of cancer in children.
Beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 20th, the Ride for Jayden King Martinez will take place. Everyone is asked to meet up at Love's Travel Stop, which is located at 4221 North I-27. Everyone will be headed to Twisted Cycle at 2401 South Loop 289.
Registration is $10 for every motorcycle, car and truck that wishes to ride, and food plates of Brisket, Summer Sausage, Rice, Beans and a Drink will be provided for $10 as well.
A gift raffle will also take place at Love's Travel Stop. Some of the items you could win in the raffle include:
- A $100 gift card to Twisted Cycles
- Gift Card from Qute Designs of a custom-made tumbler and shirt
- A Bottle of Crown with several gift cards to restaurants
