Broderick Washington is headed to the Baltimore Ravens after the AFC North team picked him 170th overall in the 5th round of the 2020 NFL draft.

Washington was a team captain for his last two seasons as a Red Raider, and was continually praised as a leader on the Red Raider team. The improvement in the run defense for Texas Tech this season had a lot to do with Broderick Washington and his change in position. It's also a reason why the Ravens drafted him. He showed versatility, and will be able to play in a multiple front like the Ravens use.

Washington had 94 tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss, 6.5 sacks, 2 pass deflections, and one fumble recovery over the span of his college career. He joins teammate Jordyn Brooks as the only other Red Raiders who came off the board.
