Buckcherry rolled into the Hub City and helped the crowd at Jake's Backroom get over hump day with songs about drinking, sex and rock and roll.

The show was a long time coming for Lubbock. Originally scheduled for July 21, the band had to postpone and reschedule several summer tour dates after frontman Josh Todd was ordered on vocal rest by a doctor.

Finally in front of a Lubbock crowd, Todd didn't hold back, demonstrating the charisma and energy that has helped cement the band as a fixture in the rock and roll scene for nearly 20 years.

Local favorites Sons of Texas and You're a Liar, I'm a Cheat opened the show.
