Trying to get the most out of your summer? July is nearly gone, but you still have plenty of time to skip town for a nice weekend somewhere that isn't too far off the beaten path. Lubbock isn't the most exciting place in the summertime, but we've got some excellent attractions that are only a few hours away that won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Grab the kiddos, throw them in the car, fill up on snacks and gas at the closest station (maybe call your boss and tell them you won't be in on Monday), and get away from LBK for a last-minute blast at one of these great spots. It's worth it!
