Sometimes, you just know your guardian angel worked overtime for you. Whether it's a nearly missed accident, or finding yourself uncannily in the right place at the right time, it can send a chill down your spine. It's also a great opportunity to have a moment of gratitude, as it really could have been worse.

A Lubbock father took to social media to share harrowing photos of his son's recent wreck, that he miraculously walked away from. As you can see in the photo below, the car was sheared in half. Thank God there was no one in that passenger seat.

Jeremy Valadez shared the images to express his gratitude, not only for his son but for the other party as well, showing grace in a stressful situation:

He was taken to the E.R. of course but after seeing the wreckage,I thank God he was able to walk away from the accident as well as the gentleman that hit him

Honestly, if I didn't know that the person who was in this car was okay, this image would churn my stomach. It is a potent reminder to drive with caution and care, especially at this time of year. There are folks from surrounding areas coming here to shop or visit family who are less familiar with our roads. Inclement weather will happen eventually this winter. And the sun setting earlier makes visibility driving home from work more challenging.

Probably more than any of us deserve, we are blessed and lucky creatures. However, we have the responsibility to hold up our end of the bargain as well. Please drive with patience, gratitude, and grace this holiday season.
