Lubbock, Here’s How You Can Still Get A Taste Of The Iconic Crafthouse
Those of us who had the privilege of experiencing the culinary joy of Lubbock's Crafthouse Gastropub (formerly located at 3131 34th St) all have such fond memories of the place.
What Made Crafthouse Gastropub in Lubbock So Special?
Crafthouse always started with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and then prepared dishes from them in innovative yet accessible ways. One Perfect example: the Kobe Beef Corndogs, which I still miss dearly.

Crafthouse was also one of the first places in Lubbock to take brunch seriously, with a special weekend-only menu that was decadent and intended to be enjoyed as more than a meal, but rather an event with family and friends.
Elevated eats paired with elevated cocktails at a ridiculously reasonable price meant a bit of a wait to get in, but well worth your patience.
While the entire brunch menu was memorable and delicious, one item was the star of the table every weekend: the gourmet donuts prepared by Chef Kate Diehl.
Introducing Lil' Sparky's By Crafthouse
Ever since the closure of Crafthouse, I have mourned the loss of these special donuts. With innovative and interesting rotating flavors, these donuts were such a special treat, even if you ordered them every week.
But sometimes when you make a wish, your dreams come true.

Chef Kate Diehl has brought back these designer donuts on a small, cottage scale. Nearly every weekend*, she has a few flavors to choose from, and sometimes also has other sweet pastries like cinnamon rolls, too. But she always sells out, so get those orders in as soon as you know you want them (and you know you want them).
*Chef Kate is also available for private caterings, so on weekends she's booked, she might not make donuts.
Once again, you can take a taste journey with rotating flavors like dark chocolate sea salt, wedding cake, Brazilian pineapple, apple cider vinegar, caramel macchiato, and many, many more.
