The One Simple Reason There Are Creepy Clown Sightings in Amarillo

Recently the creepy clown mischief has spread across the country with reports of clowns luring children into the woods, holding weapons, or just freaking people out. But some clowns seen in Amarillo have a different purpose.

According to KFDA in Amarillo, a local haunted house called 6th Street Massacre uses the clowns as a way of promoting their business. While most of the time this wouldn't be a big deal, the recent shenanigans with creepy clowns seen across the U.S. have put many people on edge.

The 6th Street Massacre Haunted House allows actors to meander around town to start the show on the streets, but they aren't connected to the creepy clown epidemic affecting most of the country.

There have also been reports of creepy clowns stalking Borger and Canyon, some with social media accounts detailing their adventures. It's unclear if they are affiliated with the promotion.
