TYLER, Texas - A 911 call came in at 3:45 am from a man claiming to have injured himself while breaking into a car dealership. 38-year-old Jeremiah Megallon allegedly threw a rock through the window, cut himself, tried to steal some things, and then couldn't get out of the building.

Sometimes, jokes write themselves. This is one of those times.

Megallon smashed a window with a rock to get inside, and then he cut himself up crawling through the glass. It's unclear if he was trying to steal a car from the showroom floor or if he was looking for a set of keys to grab a vehicle off the lot, but whatever the case, he got stuck in the dealership. He must have hurt himself so much on his way in that he didn't want to crawl back out through the broken glass.

The best part of this story is that, according to Andy Erbaugh, a Public Information Officer, there were several unlocked doors he could have used to walk right out of the dealership to leave.

Bummer...

The only damage done to the car dealership was the broken window.

Unfortunately for Megallon, he didn't manage to steal a car, but he did steal some candy from a salesperson's desk. Probably needed a little snacky-poo while he waited for cops to rescue him. I get it. I stress eat, too.

He's hanging out in the Smith County Jail if anyone wants to throw some cash on his books...
