Danger Might Be Lurking in Your Breakfast if You Have These Aunt Jemima Products in Your Home

As the Recall Reaper, it's my job to tell you what you really shouldn’t be using or eating, and today is no exception.

The FDA has announced that Pinnacle Foods issued a major voluntary recall of a number of Aunt Jemima products due to possible listeria contamination.

From the FDA:

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

All ‘Best By’ dates of the following products are included in this recall:

Two additional items are being recalled in conjunction with the United State Department of Agriculture (USDA).

Walmart, United and Lowe’s in the area confirmed that they did carry some of the affected items, but they have been pulled from shelves.

What does this mean? These foods are potentially dangerous and should be returned to the store immediately.

Don’t ever take a chance on recalls like this, your health is much too valuable.
