I was browsing through a local Lubbock buy/sell/trade Facebook page when I came across a post that cracked me up.

The post’s author, Casey Mae of Wolfforth, makes light of the death of their father by selling off his beloved pool table, describing it as being "...infused with the powerful spirit of victory from a life long [sic] winner."

"Sad? Lonely? Lack personality or a hobby? Buy my dead Dads pool table," the post begins. "Gently used for only a few months and in storage after."

If you decide you must have this one-of-a-kind "dead Dads pool table," your $500 purchase would include the table, six pool cues, two sets of balls, a ball rack, and a bridge.

When I die, I hope my belongings are sold off in an entertaining and boisterous manner as well. I appreciate dark humor, and I would bet this person’s late dad was a jokester, too.

The comments on the Facebook thread are also gold.

"Can you do marketing for my small business," one person asked.

"Since he doesn't need it anymore and cant help reassemble...will you take 400," another person asked.

And then this one, which sums it up nicely: "Don't need a pool table, but you're damn funny!!!"

You can read the original post, found at the Lubbock Buy/Sell/Trade Facebook page, below.

Sad? Lonely? Lack personality or a hobby? Buy my dead Dads pool table! Gently used for only a few months and in storage after! No obvious damage, you will have to reassemble and come pick up yourself!

For the bargain of a lifetime you get

-6 pool cues- Use them to play pool. Use them to roast marshmallows. Use to poke an unruly child or a rude spouse. I don’t care they are your cues!

-2 sets of ordinary balls and one set of galaxy balls- We’ve all seen ordinary balls, now be the proud owner of another set and also a set of GALAXY BALLS! To the common untrained eye these are just pretty balls, but to Billards[sic] players they are special pretty balls.

- A triangle to put your balls in

-Pool chalk to give your game that winners edge

- A breaker cue, I don’t know if that what it’s called but that’s what I’m calling it.

500$ for everything!

Has been infused with the powerful spirit of victory from a life long[sic] winner. Buy my pool table and impress chicks, or dudes and be less boring.”
